Website traffic is one of the most essential things to get a higher ranking of your website in the search engine results. Increasing traffic amount optimizes the visitor’s amount and increases your visibility. but wait !! Analyzing traffic means not counting your visitors’ daily or per month. There are different ways to increase traffic to your website.

Most of us know, countries like USA, Canada, Australia, and the UK are better at advertising and affiliate sales. OK, I mean to say that these country-specific traffics can give you better results. Some content of the website is targeted primarily for a particular country or language. As a result, the content of such websites will not be relevant to the other Geographical areas of the world.

So if you’re facing a lower Adsense CPC rate or want to get the traffic from the USA, Canada U.K, and Australia. I’m going to share some easy ways to improve your web traffic by targeting Geographic location. Traffic from these sites is also known as premium traffic.

Ways Of Driving Country-Specific Website Traffic:

#1. Domain Name and Web Hosting Server Location:

Your domain name is particularly capable of influencing both your online reputation and search engine rankings in local search results. Therefore, it is also necessary to use a correct domain name.

Top level domain extensions such as .com .net and .org typically rank higher on global search engines. You can also buy these top-level domains, but a great disadvantage of these domains is that you will find it hard to rank on specific country search engines. Therefore, if your goal is clear and you want to target only a specific country then country-specific domains (.us,, .in, .au,..) is always a great choice for you.

Domain and Hosting

Another important factor in running geo-targeted traffic is your server location. If your targeted country is U.S. (United States), then you would like to host your website on a U.S.-based server. If you are targeting traffic from Australia, then host your website on the Australian server.

Your server location is also an essential factor for getting geo-targeting traffic. The location of the hosting server plays an important role in the quality of its distribution. Therefore, to focus on your goals, host your website only in the country whose traffic you are targeting. If you are targeting U.S.A (United States), then you should host your website on a U.S.-based server. If you are targeting traffic from U.K (United Kingdom), then host your website on the U.K server.

#2. Google Webmaster Tool Geo-Targeting:

If you’re not using Google Webmaster Tools, then you should immediately start. This is a free tool from Google for bloggers and webmasters.

This tool not only help you to see the performance reports of your search engine ranking, but you can also set your target country, which helps you to get traffic from that targeted country.

In the new search console, this feature has not yet been migrated. You can use this feature in Old Search Console.

Log in and verify your website in the Google Webmaster Tool, and Navigate to Search Console >> Search Traffic >>International Targeting>>Country>>Specify which country you wish to target>> Save.

#3. Use “hreflang” Tag Attributes To Target Languages and Regions:

The “hreflang” attribute (also known as rel="alternate" hreflang="x")  is an HTML meta element that helps search engine spiders (Google, Bing, Yahoo, Yandex) to handle multilingual or multi-region websites.

This is useful when you are creating specific content for local audiences. Hreflang attribute adds a signal to search engines that a user of the U.S, who wants the “hreflang="en-us" result instead of a page containing the same content with the “hreflang="en-uk"tag.

Your page is content is one of the most important things that Google uses to determine your target country. If you are targeting several countries with your normal domain name extension (.com, .net, .org), then you need to add your post meta title and country name to the details. This will not only make your content more keyword-targeted but also a clear indication that you are targeting a particular country.

We all know that readability is a known SEO factor for your ranking in a specific country.  You have to determine all readability factors according to the target country. If your language is following USA standards, then it would be difficult to target UK traffic. #5. Use Schema Markup Tags:

Although Schema and other structured markup formats have been for almost several years, many websites using this to rank their website on the search engine, few sites are planning to include schema microdata, and even some people actually know what the schema is or what it is for.

The schema is a type of microdata that parses search engines and interprets the information of your web pages more effectively so that they can provide relevant results to users based on search queries and geographical location.

  • Organization schema markup:-  It is used to improve your website snippet presence and Knowledge Graph entry in the search engine results pages (SERPs).
  • Website schema markup:- It is used to get your post featured in the search results.
  • Site navigation schema markup:- This code is used to improve the structure of your website and improve the way navigation is promoted.

#6. Submit Website To Local Search Engines & Directories to Get Country Specific Backlinks:

When Google Search was launched, Backlinks are used to determine the popularity of the content, as it is an important aspect of SEO. A lot has changed over time, but the importance of Backlinks remains important. For this reason, this is a good idea to target country-specific backlinks.

For example, If your target audience of U.S.A then try to get more backlinks from U.S-based websites. You can get country-based backlinks by submitting your website to local search engines, guest posting, local classified ads, local web directory submission, forum submission, and blog commenting. #7. Track Keyword Progress in Specific Country:

You have to track the keywords performance of your blog. This will help you to identify which strategies are working and which is not.
